Hi friends. Now the review is about Sony Xperia S. This model has been announced in January, 2012 and it is available in Market from February, 2012. The mobile is also known as Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi and Sony Ericsson Arc HD. Let us see the details of the mobile phone.
Sony Xperia S comes with the support of 2G and 3G service only. It comes with the facility of Micro SIM and the total weight of the mobile is about 144g.
The display is made up of LED-backlit LCD Capacitive touchscreen, with Scratch Resistant glass protection and it supports Multi Touch facility which will respond to 10 fingers at a time, with a display range of 16M colors.
It has a 3.5mm jack for Head Phones, Loud Speaker is also provided and it supports Stereo FM radio with RDS. The Call alerts are by Vibration and MP3 ringtones only.
In the storage part, the internal memory supports 32 GB storage supported by 1 GB RAM but there is no external card slot in this model.Connectivity includes GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication. (NFC), micro USB support.
Xperia S comes with 12 Mega pixel (Rear End) camera, with LED flash and the auto focus facility. The camera includes the features like geo tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and Image Stabilization. The video recording facility is available at the rate of 1080p@30fps. The secondary video facility is available via 1.3 MP (Front Side) camera at 720p@30fps.
It comes with a Non-Removable Li-ion battery with stand by time of up to 450 hours for 2G & 420 hours for 3G facility. The Talk time is up to 7 hours 30 min for 2G & 8 hours 30 min for 3G. The music play time is up to 25 hours.
It uses Android OS, version 2.3 (can be upgraded). It supports SMS, MMS, E-mail, push Email, IM, HTML5 browser, Adobe Flash, GPS and JAVA. It is available in Black, White and silver colors
Other notable features includes SNS integration, HDMI port and TV launcher, Active noise cancellation facility is available with dedicated mic, Track ID music recognition, MP3 Player, Document viewer, voice memo/dial/commands and predictive text input facilities are available.
