Hi friends. Now its about Sony Xperia U. This model has been announced in February, 2012 and it is available in Market from May, 2012.Let us see the details of the mobile phone. The mobile is also known as Sony Ericsson ST25i Kumquat.
Sony Xperia U comes with the support of 2G and 3G service only.It comes with the facility of Mini-SIM and the total weight of the mobile is about 110g.
The display of the new Xperia U is of TFT Capacitive touchscreen, with Scratch Resistant glass protection.
It supports Multi Touch facility which will respond to 4 fingers at a time and it displays upto 16M colors.
It has a 3.5mm jack for Head Phones (Sony 3D surround Sound audio Technology) and Loud Speaker is also provided. It supports Stereo FM radio with RDS. The Call alerts in Sony Xperia U are by Vibration and MP3 ringtones only.
In the storage department, the internal memory of Xperia U supports 8 GB storage in which 4 GB is user available, supported by 512 MB RAM but the sad news is that, there is no external card slot in this model.
The connectivity shows the support of GPRS, EDGE,wireless technology, Bluetooth and micro USB.
Xperia U comes with 5 Mega pixel camera, with LED flash and the auto focus facility.It includes the features like geo tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and Image Stabilization.The video recording facility is available at the rate of 720p@30fps. There is a secondary video facility available in VGA format.
It comes with a Li-ion battery with stand by time of up to 260 hours for 2G & 472 hours for 3G facility. The Talk time is up to 6 hours 36 min for 2G & 5 hours 36 min for 3G. For music lovers, the music play time is up to 45 hours.
It uses Android OS, version 2.3 (can be upgraded) and supports SMS, MMS, E-mail, push Email, IM, HTML5 browser, Adobe Flash, GPS and JAVA It is available in Black, White/ exchangeable bottom caps in white, black, pink, yellow colors
Other features consists of SNS integration, Active noise cancellation facility is available with dedicated mic.
MP3 Player, Organizer, Document viewer, voice memo/dial/commands and predictive text input facilities are available.Google applications like google search, maps, gmail, youtube, calendar and gtalk facilities available.
